For many, the "Ile" is their favorite Paris destination. To be able to rent an apartment on the Ile, in the middle of the Seine, is truly a memorable experience. The whole Ile exudes history, as the main street was put in place in 1625. The apartment building is more recent - perhaps eighteenth century, and the apartment itself was completely redone in 1999. It is truly a wonderful, small, one bedroom apartment in a fantastic location.

Many major attractions are an easy walk, Notre Dame Cathedral for instance, or Place des Voges, but there is also a nearby metro stop, Sully Morland, or at St. Paul only a little further away. One can buy almost any food provisions right on the Ile, and there are numerous restaurants there as well, including one with one star should your budget allow. If not, you'll just have to "settle" for an ice cream cone at Berthillon (Paris' most famous ice cream shop), whihc is less than five minutes from the apartmnet's door.

The apartment itself has two twin beds in the bedroom, and a convertible sofa in the living room - but four guests would be a bit crowded. There is a nice bathroom, and a kitchenette that is actually quite functional - but small. There are three large French windows overlooking a very nice courtyard, all of which is pictured on the website link below.

He is not a concierge, however, but he can take care of any minor problems that could arise - say the hot water doesn't work.

Rental Policies: While we make occasional exceptions, we mostly rent this property by the month. We do require a Reservation Deposit as well as a refundable Security Deposit, assuming there is no damage to our property.
